Serralles Mansion in Ponce

One of the sights to see in Ponce is the Serralles Castle built in the 1930's by the rum barons who owned and operated a huge sugar plantation surrounding Ponce. Still making Don Q rum, the family sold the residence to the city of Ponce who turned it into a museum which houses many of the original furnishings. Other sites to see in Ponce include a fabulous art museum, the antique firehouse, the Guancha boardwalk, and numerous other interesting buildings.
